This couples session was SO meaningful to me! I’ve known Sarah for a long time! We go way back. We actually used to show horses together and we live in the same hometown! I posted about being in Colorado with the dates I was going to be there and Sarah said Clayton and her would be there at the same time so she booked a session with me! I was thrilled!! Claytons family has a vacation home in Breckenridge so they drove up from there to meet me. It was such an amazing day with these two! We decided on Dream Lake at Rocky Mountain National Park because of the beautiful views and sceneries! It was incredible. See more of this beautiful couples session below!
We met at the Trailhead restaurant right outside of the Dream Lake park entrance beforehand to eat and so we could hop in the same car because theres no service in the park and it would have been hard to contact them if we weren’t already together. We drove into the Bear Lake corridor, which I secured a timed entry permit for before the trip. The drive in took almost 30 minutes which we were not expecting but the views were amazing the whole way in and we saw a ton of elk and mule deer. We got to the main parking lot and thankfully got a spot. It was so crowded!! We started the hike and made sure to stop along the way to rest and to take in the views.
My fiancé Danny was with us too! It was helpful because he held my gear while I was shooting and took some BTS videos of me! When we got to Dream Lake we both took a few iPhone photos before starting the session (because instant gratification lol)! It wasn’t as crowed as I thought it would be. There were a few people there and an elopement going on. We were able to go off to the side to do most of the session which worked out great so we weren’t hogging the iconic picture taking spot. We did their session and then walked out and drove out of the park. As we were leaving we caught a beautiful sunset and pulled over to take a picture! Sunsets never look as good on camera as they do in real life but I tired!! The entire day was incredible and I was so happy and honored to be a part of their couples session!!
Rocky Mountain National Park it’s a very easy trail of 2 miles out and back. It has some of the most iconic and dreamy views! It should definitely be on your list of spots to choose from if you live near there or are wanting to travel! The whole hike takes about an hour to complete. It is uphill for most of it but there are stairs so it makes it easier to walk up. There are spots to stop along the way to Dream Lake. Gorgeous views wherever you are! It’s one of the easiest hikes in the Rocky Mountain National Park! If this sounds like the perfect location for you, then I would be more than happy to travel to be a part of your day!
I’m down for whatever adventure you want to experience on your special day. It’s your world and I’m just photographing it!
