Wow! This Rocky Mountain National Park adventure engagement session with Moriah and John was amazing! The views, the scenery, the mountains, the vibes – all of it was perfection. We started at the Glacier Gorge Trailhead and took that all the way to sky pond. About half way to Sky Pond, we stopped at the Loch on the way there which is beautiful. Then, we ended the session at Forest Canyon Overlook off of Trail Ridge Road to catch the sunset. This whole hike and day took us 6 hours to complete due to the 9 1/2 mile hike out there and back!! It was filled with so much adventure, filled my cup and set my soul on fire and I loved every second of it. Come see more of their adventurous day below!
Moriah and John were like super fit and hardly out of breath at all, and meanwhile I was dying LOL! The elevation gain of this adventure engagement session was 1,758ft! Which means that there was a lot of uphill! It was no joke! Honestly, I was out of breath the whole time BUT, I loved all of it. I would highly recommend saying YES to Rocky Mountain National Park for your engagement if you are looking for a hiking, fun adventure!!
The 9 1/2 mile hike and 6 hour session at Rocky Mountain National Park meant we got to see lots of beautiful views and spent lots of time together! It was amazing! My fiance came with us and he was a huge help in carrying things for me! Thank goodness we had him! We stopped at the Loch to eat lunch and the chipmunks, which Moriah called “chippies”, were everywhere trying to get us to feed them. It was so cute!! They came up so close to you that you could touch them. We stopped at a lot of places along the way to take pictures!! So much variety to the day!
One of the best parts was when we almost got to Sky Pond and there was a water fall that you have to scale to get up! We took a good amount of pictures at the top of Sky Pond – they turned out amazing. Then, to make sure we didn’t miss the sunset we walked so fast coming back down. At the lookout point where we stopped for the sunset it was about 20 degrees colder than the Sky Pond hike and windy. But, it was worth it because the sunset was amazing and the views were 360 degrees of just mountains. We parted ways from there. It all turned out so fun because it was basically an all day engagement session.
