I’ve know Macie and Jon for years and when they reached out to me that they were planning to elope in Colorado and they wanted me to come with them to document it I just about died inside! They took this day/trip to make it all about them. They knew they wanted to get married on their own terms without the pressures of a big wedding. They started their day off at their airbnb in Denver to get ready. We stayed in the city and then drove to Boulder which was just under an hour drive, but it felt so fast because of the pretty views on the way in. We drove around and found a good spot for them to say their vows. The nice thing about eloping in Boulder is that you can get a permit for Open spaces and Mountain Parks so anywhere you see a sign that says OSMP you’re covered with your permit! They said their vows in an open field with the mountains in the back and then had a picnic right after.
After saying their vows, taking some photos, and having a picnic we headed off to the city of Boulder and walked around to all the shops and then had dinner at franks chophouse which was incredible! We ended the night at Chautauqua National Landmark also known as the Flatirons in Boulder and did some photos there in their outfit change!
I love Boulder because you don’t have to hike super far to get to spots with amazing mountain views. It’s accessible to all ages and abilities. I will definitely be back here! If you want to Elope in Boulder inquire through my contact form, I would love to chat!
